II.Construction environment

The rock demolition project belongs to living area.There are houses,roads, and other facilities on the surrounding site, which must take into account the safety of buildings, gas pipelines, personnel, and roads.

 

III.Engineering geological conditions

According to the on-site situation that is described by Mr.Pino, the site may can be referred to as Andesite quarry  , and its hardness reaches 400 Mpa ( HRC 4 ) .The project is shown below,  in our eyes, not very hard rock , soft, low abrasive rock from and condition. Easy to fracture by Co2 gas cutting way.

IV.Analysis of engineering geological conditions on construction

Construction principle

For the demolition project of Andesite quarry, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, for the existing rock to be taken:

1. combined CO2 carbon dioxide gas expansion and cracking;

2. blind cutting method by quarry saw;

3. strong diamond  wire saw;

4. Expansive mortar soundless cracking.

Through the geology of the exploration at first, the rock is drilled through the geological drilling rig (hydraulic rock drill or down-the-hole DTH drill) in the place where the Andesite / Limestone exists, and then the rock is expanded by gas expansion and blasting. The construction method has been applied to the demo project of many projects inChina city like Shenzhen, Yunnan, Hubei, Gansu, etc., and proved to be a scientific, reasonable and effective rock demo method.

 

CO2 Gas Expansion can be described as these steps:Drilling;Fill tube; Backfill;Filling gas;connection fume;Warning withdral;detonation;

 

V. How to use CO2 fracture machine :
1. Drilling: Drilling with a submerged hole drill or a hydraulic rock drill, hitting 141MM holes, drilling holes of 3 meters to 6 meters and spacing, the depth is 10 meters, depending on the rock adjustment. 121 mm diameter for cracking pipes , length 1100 mm. 10 kg Co2 load capacity;

2. After drilling the hole, connect the installed cracking tube to the air tube and wire into the bottom of the hole;

3.  Use quick-drying cement or drilled stone powder slag to fill the hole and tighten it;

4.  connect the inflatable tube to start to inflate, inflate to 8/9Mpa, automatically stop, refill the second, and then fill all the tubes in turn;

5. Connect the detonating line of all tubes to the detonator;

6.  Clearing the blasting site , everyone withdraws from the scene;

7. start the detonation switch;

 

According to CONBLOC INFRATECNO  requirement of 4,000 cubic meters per day, 67 cubic meters of stones may be produced from each pipe. 67 holes need to be drilled at a depth of 670 meters per day. 50 dollars a piece, 50 dollars a 10-meter hole,

The principle of gas expansion and cracking is that the CO2 gas can be converted into a liquid state under a certain high pressure. When the micro current passes through the high heat conduction, a high temperature breakdown safety film is generated, and the liquid CO2 is vaporized instantaneously, and the high pressure impact is generated by the rapid expansion. Or the deposit is rapidly pushed outward by the geometric-grade equivalent shock wave, which takes only 0.4 seconds from the initiation to the end of the whole process, and runs at low temperature; the blasting process is the process of volume expansion, no shock wave, no vibration wave, no explosion wave,is physical work rather than chemical reaction.

 It can be said that the gas expansion and cracking use CO2 physics to do work, is an efficient, energy-saving, green and environmentally-friendly excavation artifact, and will certainly have a broad market prospect in field of rock demolition, quarrying and construction project.
